About Me
I am an experienced teacher, mentor, trainer and advisor. Academic and life coaching are natural extensions of what I’ve done for 30 years working in higher education. I work with students to help them to explore and define their concerns and improve their grades. I help them clarify their thoughts and to make a plan with clear steps towards achieving their goals. I work with faculty and staff to further their professional goals and skills.
I am a diversity trainer and work with faculty, staff, and students to understand the value and implications of a diverse world. I work with graduate students who are teaching for the first time to help them to understand the relationship between teacher and student and how to motivate and inspire students to do their best work.
I am a certified life coach through the Life Coach Institute of Orange County, a program approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF). The program is also a member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO).
Why choose me? |
I am open, direct and compassionate and see the world as an opportunity, as well as a challenge. I have an instinctive sense about people in terms of where they are and their preference for a process for moving forward. I have a strong belief in self compassion as a starting point for change. I see each person as an individual who wishes the best for themselves and others, but can get stuck trying to make the journey to a better life. I respect you and your time, as well as my own. I will stick with you through your new plans and steps toward your goals. Together we will continually reevaluate your progress as you move forward until you reach your desired result. Let's get started!
